Surrey Regional Economic Summit 2010

The past few years have seen major changes in the world’s economies, with countries such as China and India now challenging the economic dominance of the United States. As a small, open economy, British Columbia needs to better understand these fundamental changes to decide how best to build our economy going forward.

At the 2010 Surrey Regional Economic Summit, some of the world’s foremost international business experts will share their unique and timely perspectives on how changes in international economies, and the rise of China and India, are impacting Canada and British Columbia. Speakers include Steve Forbes of Forbes Magazine, author and professor Dr. Kishore Mahbubani of Singapore, The Economist’s Asia Economics Editor Pam Woodall, and BBC World News Singapore anchor Rico Hizon. Joining them will be local and national experts who’ll add their perspective on what these changes mean for our economy.

Organized and promoted by the City of Surrey and the Business Council of British Columbia, the 2010 Surrey Summit will be one of the most important economic
