How will they address Surrey’s concerns on crime, transportation, international trade, social policy, environment, arts and health? What are their plans to support business – small and large? For specific industries such as manufacturer’s?

Surrey is a major consideration for the October 19th election as it is home to nearly 16,000 businesses and has approximately 46% of Metro Vancouver’s total vacant industrial land. Surrey’s growing population is projected to be 551,653 for 2016.

“Surrey is a major strategic economic area that needs to be paid attention to by our federal government,” said Anita Huberman, CEO Surrey Board of Trade.

The Surrey Board of Trade wants to ensure that our members have an opportunity to engage with the federal candidates, consider their positions, and make the best choice for their federal representative.

The Surrey Board of Trade, in Surrey since 1918, provides businesses and organizations with economic opportunity, workplace development and education, international trade, government advocacy and business connections. The Surrey Board of Trade has 2,100 business members, representing 6,000 business contacts and over 60,000 employees.
