The Intervention
"The Intervention" : Step into the Light Causin' A Commotion - where anything can happen and probably will!
Don't Miss this great celebration. Featuring Lincoln Brewster, Downhere and Greg Sczebel brought to you by JamiShel in association with World Vision & HistoryMaker for one night only.
LincolnBrewster:
Lincoln Brewster began playing music at a young age and attained a level of success before he was 22 that many musicians never reach. But he realized very early in his career that he wanted more than success in this world. Lincoln wanted to play his guitar and sing songs that would help bring souls closer to Christ... he wanted his music to make a difference.
While still serving as the Worship Arts Pastor, the Bayside Church staff support Lincoln as he tours and makes guest appearances at churches, festivals and events around across the country. His love for what he does is obvious. When he steps in front of a room full of people, he involves the audience in his music, teaching the songs to them, inviting them to sing along. He shares his heart like an open book and teaches as he plays, talking about his personal journey with God and the faithfulness he?s found. As one woman put it, ?Lincoln?s music is life-changing. It?s so amazing to see how his music can bring Christ into a life, one song, just one time and it changes everything.?
Lincoln knows he is blessed, ?I?m truly grateful to be able to do what I do. I know I don?t deserve it, but I am committed to doing my best with what God has put before me.?
Downhere:
"It's been nearly nine years since downhere was born back in Canada," reflects Thiessen. "The music industry has seen some pretty significant changes and challenges in that amount of time and so have we. But the one constant in our
story is the sense of calling. Were it not for a deep conviction in each of us that this is the mission the Lord has for us in this season of our lives, I doubt very much that downhere would still exist today. It is out of this conviction that we find the strength and determination to press on, pursuing excellence in all that we do until we feel this chapter is done. Where they are as a band has changed through this group's emergence from Canada's alt-rock scene on the wings of their Dove Award nomination for New Artist of the Year and two subsequent Juno Awards for Contemporary Christian/Gospel
Album Of The Year and Best Gospel Album, Canadian Gospel Music Association
Covenant Awards for Rock Album of the Year and Rock Song of the Year and Dove Award for Modern Rock Recorded Song of the Year.
Greg Sczebel:
Some have called him a "white Stevie Wonder". Others refer to him as ?Justin Timberlake-meets-Michael Bublé?. But ask any Greg Sczebel fan to describe his music and the response will be unanimous ? he?s not easily pigeonholed...and this is a good thing. Singer/songwriter, Greg Sczebel (pronounced ?sa-bell?) brings an innovative blend of pop, rock, r&b and old school soul to the musical landscape.
Greg has garnered numerous national awards, including two Juno Awards, a Western Canadian Music Award, and is a two-time grand prizewinner in the international John Lennon Songwriting Contest. When he?s not performing on his own stage, you?ll also find him as a regular keyboardist and vocalist for multi-platinum selling Country artist, Paul Brandt.
Sczebel?s Juno Award winning sophomore album, ?Love & the Lack Thereof? is available online and at music retailers nationwide.
