Businesses will be recognized for their efforts in creating a more enviro-friendly business through methods or initiatives such as recycling, promoting environmental awareness or education, pursuing ground-breaking environmental research, innovative environmental technology and/or partnerships with the community to promote the environment.

Peter Ladner is a Fellow at the Simon Fraser University Centre for Dialogue focusing on Planning Cities as if Food Matters.  As founder of Business in Vancouver, Peter currently maintains the position of Vice President of the BiV Media Group.  Mr. Ladner has formerly served as a Vancouver City Councillor and journalist for multiple media outlets, including the Vancouver Sun and The Globe and Mail.
