September 10, 2019 - The Global Future of Canadian Energy: Energy Week Lunch with Athabasca Oil Corp CEO Rob Broen
In partnership with Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers, we invite you to attend a national Energy Week event. This event will discuss the roles Canadian energy products play in the global economy and meeting growing global energy needs.
The event will focus on two major topics. The first is the role our energy products can play in addressing energy poverty in many developing countries. The second focus is an exploration of how Canadian producers can meet this global demand while playing a leadership role in reducing global emissions and fostering inclusive growth in Canada. The conversation will focus on the technologies and practices that can help Canadian energy producers continue their decade-long success in lowering emissions per barrel, and the export strategies needed to support the sector.
Plus the Surrey Board of Trade will make a special presentation on the Surrey Workforce Strategy it has been developing with BC Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction funding. The Surrey Workforce Strategy sets out to determine Surrey’s current and anticipated labour market demand, supply and gaps for the next ten years.
