If a strong community creates a strong economy then there’s no time like the present to begin talking about strategic investments and initiatives in Surrey that will strengthen both our growing number of families with young children and the business sector now and in the future.
The Business Perspective:
“Work-life conflict among employees with preschool age children costs the BC business community in excess of $600 million per year, and the Canadian business community in excess of $4.5 billion. It’s a costly issue:
Health Canada estimates that when work and family demands collide, it costs Canadian businesses up to $10 billion a year to cover the cost of absent workers or hire/re-train new employees for those who leave.
