• Manufacturing has the biggest economic footprint in the province, with over 13,000 B.C. firms, supporting more than 400,000 jobs.

• Manufacturing represents $11 billion in wages, at levels 15.5% higher than the overall average wage for all industries.

• Manufacturing economic spinoffs generate $3.01 in new economic activity for every $1 in manufacturing.

• Manufacturers account for a whopping 42.1% of all private sector R&D, helping to cement their status as B.C’s “greenest” firms.

• Manufacturers invested $1.38 billion in new technologies and production facilities.

• B.C. manufacturers dominate exports, producing and shipping goods valued at $26.4 billion, some 66% of all exports and 75% of merchandise trade.
