November 26, 2013 - Cross Cultural Training
Cross Cultural Training
In this rapidly evolving time of globalization and diversity in our workplaces, this seminar will teach you how to understand the differences between yourself and your colleagues from around the world. We look at recognizing these differences and selecting valuable communication tools that will allow more effective communication.
Attend this dynamic and experiential workshop to learn:
1. What is culture? Understand all of the elements that make up culture across the world and how thinking patterns can be shaped by environment and upbringing.
2. The NLP Communication Model. Understand how language is processed through our minds, changing our emotions and affecting our behaviour. This process differs for each country and culture.
3. Hofstede’s Cultural Dimensions. Learn about your own cultural dimensions and those of your company.
4. Cross Cultural Mistakes. Hear some common mistakes that occur due to cultural misunderstandings.
5. Direct & Specific Language. Taking the example of Korean Airlines where indirect language resulted in plane crashes, we look at where our work and projects “crash” because of weak language.
Presented by Andrew Woods of Lexxon Training. Andrew is a professional speaker, university lecturer, author and facilitator of soft-skills training around the globe.
