May 6, 2014 - Not-For-Profit Fundraising Workshop
Not-for-Profit Fundraising Workshop
Fundraising is a key element of running a successful not-for-profit agency. It’s important to know how to effectively find and manage your donors, and keep ahead of the trends by finding new ways to generate revenue to support your programs. Attend this Not-for-Profit Fundraising Workshop to learn about:
Donors
Find out who donors are, how to find new donors, and how to recognize and work with them once you have them on board.
New Fundraising Ideas
Relying on government funding is no longer an option for not-for-profits. In order to sustain the important programs they offer, not-for-profit agencies must find new ways to generate revenue.
Marketing Your Organization
Making your organization attractive to donors is important. Discover how to spread the word in the community to effectively brand your cause.
This session is facilitated by Jeff Norris. Jeff Norris is the Chief Advancement Officer for Kwantlen Polytechnic University, CEO of the KPU Foundation and executive director of the KPU Alumni Association, a group he was involved in founding. Norris has made a positive impression on the bottom lines of every non-profit he’s joined, including the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Kidney Foundation and St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation. Jeff spent seven years as director of annual and corporate giving at St. Paul’s, and was part of the team that increased the foundation’s annual fundraising from $2.5 million to $10 million.
