Privacy and your Business
Are you wondering how B.C.’s privacy laws apply to your business? Do you want hands-on help to develop your company’s own privacy policy? Do you want to know what regulators expect to see in an investigation or audit of your privacy practices? If you answered ‘Yes’ to any of these questions, then this workshop is for you.
In this hands-on session, expert staff from the B.C. Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner will explain how thePersonal Information Protection Act works and will lead you through exercises to help you write your company’s very own privacy policy, a cornerstone of sound privacy management. You will also learn about the wealth of resources available from the OIPC to help privacy proof your business.
This workshop is being offered by the OIPC as part of Privacy Awareness Week, April 29 to May 6.
