Lean 101
Eliminating the Waste From Your Business
The world is changing at a rapid pace and the competitive environment we find ourselves in requires us to adapt. There is waste and inefficiencies everywhere and it keeps us from spending time on our most valuable work.
Lean is a philosophy that seeks to identify and remove waste from what we do. This workshop provides participants with an overview of the principles of lean thinking, demonstrates how to use lean tools and provides a unique opportunity to inspire curiosity about the possibilities of how lean can transform your own work areas.
Attend this workshop to learn about:
• Lean overview: philosophy, history and benefits
• Identifying 8 types of waste
• Visual Workspace organization (5S)
• Brain3 problem solving – value stream mapping overview
This workshop is facilitated by Ryan Visscher, Continuous Improvement Business Partner at Envision Financial with a Black Belt in Lean from Lean Sensei International. Ryan joined the ‘Lean’ team where he oversees the delivery of Envision’s Lean training and advancement of the continuous improvement culture. Joining Ryan is Norm Attridge, Assistant Vice-President of Small Business Banking at Envision Financial.
