February 26, 2025 - Metro Vancouver's Economic Future: Regional Leaders on Transportation, Land Use and Growth
Metro Vancouver, which includes Surrey, is one of the fastest growing economic regions in Canada. On February 26, the Surrey Board of Trade and the South Surrey & White Rock Chamber of Commerce will host Mayor Brad West, Chair of TransLink's Mayors' Council and Mayor of Port Coquitlam, and Mayor Mike Hurley, Metro Vancouver Board Chair and Mayor of Burnaby, for an in-depth discussion on the region's economic future.
The Chairs will explore how their agencies collaborate to align transportation and land-use planning, share updates on regional transportation initiatives, and discuss strategic plans to support sustainable growth. Attendees will also have the opportunity to engage directly with the mayors during a Q&A session.
