This panel will discuss some of the barriers to competitiveness in Canada today as it relates to information and communications technology (ICT). Canada must support the continued deployment of broadband and the diffusion of ICT digital applications for business. What is still needed and how can we get there? What are other countries doing successfully? How are we addressing bridging the gap between business and the academic community? What conclusions from the federal review panel on R&D can quickly and easily be implemented?

The panel will examine what's being done in Canada currently in green and smart innovation through ICT adoption and where we can do better.
