The 56th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Surrey Board of Trade will be held digitally on Tuesday, August 18, 2020, from 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m.
Owing to the effects of COVID-19 and out of concern for the safety of our members, staff and other stakeholders, the meeting will be held by remote communication through Zoom technology. An in-person AGM will not take place this year.
The AGM, in accordance with the Board of Trade Act under Canada’s Ministry of Economic Development, Innovation and Science, is being held for the following purposes:
- To approve the minutes of the Annual Meeting of Members held on June 19, 2019
- To receive the audited financial statements for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2019
- To appoint the Auditor for Fiscal 2020
- Board Chair Report: Doug Tennant
- CEO Report: Anita Huberman
- Induction of the Board of Directors for the 2020-2022 term
Surrey RCMP's Officer in Charge, A/Commr. Brian Edwards will be our keynote speaker. We will also be recognizing the tremendous contributions of the Surrey RCMP, in lieu of the formal awards gala that would have typically been held this Fall.

Members: Free/Pay What You Can
Multiple attendees from an organization can attend online, however, please identify one person as the voting member.
Non-Members: $10/Pay What You Can
We recognize that the pandemic has created challenges for all businesses and organizations. The Surrey Board of Trade is no different. That is why for this event we have implemented a Pay What You Can model. Typically, this would be a ticketed event to cover our costs of bringing these sessions to you. As a non-profit, your contribution helps us to continue offering important services to our struggling business community.
