That all changed when her car was struck by a reckless driver going more than 100km/hr (60 mph)\, which resulted in a fight for her life. \n\n \nPartial proceeds from the event support the RCMP Youth Academy.\n\n \n\nEach year we celebrate those involved in policing in Surrey with the Police Officer of the Year Awards.
