Under the umbrella of the SBOT’s Business Centre, a community of experts exists committed to propelling female entrepreneurship and female career pathways to ensure full participation in fueling innovation and driving economic growth.

 

KPU Women Entrepreneurs Endowed Award

In honor of International Women’s Day, KPU is proud to acknowledge and celebrate women entrepreneurs in the Melville School of Business. The KPU Women Entrepreneurs Endowed Award currently provides $2,500 to one outstanding female student annually in the Entrepreneurial Leadership degree program. With your help KPU can increase this support to $5,000 annually, to cover a student’s full tuition for one year!

FUNDING

The BC Government announced $29 million in funding for women, minorities in the technology sector. Employers can apply for an Innovator Skills Initiative hiring grant valued at up to $10,000 to supplement a new employee’s salary. Employers may receive up to 10 Innovator Skills Initiative grants through Innovate BC for 10 different employees per program year and maximum one grant per candidate per employer.
